investment process, using quantitative analysis and a

purpose.Key Responsibilities:
- Daily risk management and oversight of credit portfolios,
including review of new deals going to investment committee, where
material
- Partner with investment teams and businesses to ensure that
risks are fully understood, consistent with client objectives, and
appropriately mitigated
- Communicate with impact and provide constructive challenge to
decision makers to influence portfolio construction and drive
better investment decisions
- Assess portfolios' ability to withstand market and economic
stress by conducting scenario analysis and stress tests
- Drive continuous evolution in portfolio analytics and risk
monitoring tools in partnership with team members across RQA,
portfolio management, and financial engineering
- Work collaboratively with peers across RQA and help mentor
junior risk managersQualifications
- A degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced
degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA, etc.) preferred
- 9+ years of previous work experience in the financial services
industry (asset management, investment banking, consulting, etc.)
required
- Previous experience as a risk manager or investment analyst
supporting corporate credit (C&I), private credit, or private
equity portfolios is preferred
- Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills with
a track record of articulating independent thinking with
conviction
- Ability to anchor relationships with lead portfolio managers
and build a network across BlackRock and externally
- Highly organized, proactive, and exhibiting impeccable
attention to detail
- Ability to bring innovative ideas into the portfolio
construction and risk management processSalary and BenefitsFor
California and New York City only the salary range for this
position is $147,500 - $209,500. Additionally, employees are
eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including
health care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock
operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your
total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm,
