Job Description:
An outstanding hospital on the Central California Coast is in
search of a new Director Women and Infant Services.
This hospital has earned numerous awards for units throughout their
facility. In addition, this 100+ bed hospital is accredited in many
areas, but notably has a glowing record in their Labor and Delivery
Department. This Leapfrog "A" rated hospital is state of the art
and has earned multiple awards for collaboration efforts and
quality and patient care. The Director Women and Infant Services
will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the
community and across the Pacific Coast.
The Director Women and Infant Services will report directly to the
Chief Nursing Officer. Supported by 4 managers and several tenured
charge nurses, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy
Labor & Delivery, NICU, Postpartum, and Pediatrics departments.
The Director Women and Infant Services will be in charge of
overseeing that care provided by nurses is efficient and thorough.
This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices
and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital.
In addition, the position requires collaboration with the CNO, as
well as managers to achieve the highest level of operational and
clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital's standards and
values. The Director Women and Infant Services will also have
opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality
improvement initiatives.
