Fortune 500 Oil and Gas Company is seeking an Executive to spearhead one of their most profitable divisions. Essential Functions: Develops strategic plans identifying Information Technology applications to support business plans or create new strategic options. Plans and controls staffing and development, organization, hardware acquisitions and facilities for the information systems department to assure that they are consistent with and supportive of the business plans of the Company. Directs the design, development and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet the needs of the Company. Administers and controls the information systems expense budget to contribute to a cost effective operation. Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems, hardware, and application software to assure that new developments are incorporated in future systems of the Company. Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Information System or equivalent. The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired in 7 to 10 years of experience in managing one or more major information processing functions (operations, Support, etc.) and/or advanced college training in management. A comprehensive knowledge of the information systems technology subjects and extensive knowledge of hardware and software, with the ability to keep abreast of new technologies. Preferred: IT experience in the petroleum marketing sector & PCI-DSS. Database engines: MS SQL server, Informix. Development tools: VS.NET, Business Object (Crystal Reports). Virtualization: Hyper-V, VMWare.
