What is JetZero?Today's aircraft contribute around 2.5% of
global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million
cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to
double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current
airplanes have hit a wall.JetZero is developing a blended wing
aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission
hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to

Aerodynamics. You will be responsible for overall aircraft
aerodynamics design and performance and supervise the aerodynamics
team.JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and
humble. This role is based in Long Beach, CA reporting to the Head
of Flight Sciences.What You'll Do
- Apply aerodynamics design/analysis knowledge and aircraft
performance experience to lead the aerodynamics team.
- Be responsible for overall aircraft aerodynamics design and
performance and supervise the aerodynamics team performing aero
calculations, CFD, aircraft performance evaluation, design trade
study and optimization, and propulsion airframe integration.
- Manage aircraft key performance parameters.
- Support and integrate aero test plan in Flight Quality Lab and
Wind Tunnel.
- Collaborate and review aircraft performance requirements and
design objectives.
- Document aero design practices and organize aero design and
analysis records.
- Closely coordinate with Stability and Control and flight
control team and collaborate with other engineering and design
teams.
- Present technical data to engineering leadership for design
reviews and change board processes.Helpful TraitsYou have a Startup

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited
university.
- 8-10 years of experience in aircraft aerodynamics design and
analysis, CFD, stability and control, and aircraft
performance.
- 3-5 years of experience managing and leading direct
reports.
- Experience with Part 23 and/or 25 commercial aircraft
development.
- Experience with software tools such as Siemens Teamcenter,
OpenVSP, XFOIL, AVL, Matlab, Simulink, Git, Python, and Microsoft
Project preferred.
- Familiar with wind tunnel test planning and execution.The
