Job Description:
A company is looking for a Precertification Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Contact insurance companies and third-party administrators to
determine pre-authorization and medical necessity requirements for
outpatient radiology exams
Obtain pre-authorization before scheduled services are
performed
Act as a liaison between patients and referring physician offices
to gather additional clinical documentation when necessary
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Background in healthcare is preferred
Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care
Experience with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System is
preferred
Proficient phone and computer skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians,
clients, and coworkers
