This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will
regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.First
Citizens Energy Finance leverages its deep industry knowledge and
expertise to offer comprehensive financing solutions for renewable
and conventional power generation. The unit manages a large,
diverse portfolio that includes investments in all asset classes
across the energy sector. In H1 2023, it was ranked #4 in US Power
and Energy Project Finance by Power Finance & Risk, a top
publication covering the energy project finance industry.
Responsibilities
- Analyze detailed financial models prepared by clients to
evaluate lending opportunities
- Prepare debt sizing models and sensitivities
- Conduct due diligence and prepare Q&A logs for potential
lending opportunities
- Review consultant reports from independent engineers, insurance
consultants, appraisal, and power market consultants
- Prepare internal credit memos
- Prepare marketing materials for potential clients and
lenders
- Stay up to date with industry trends and power markets
- Train junior team members on modeling and other job

Qualifications
Sr AnalystRequired ExperienceA Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of
Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement
spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month
analysis or a High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of Commercial
Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading,
preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month
analysis.Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a quantitative field
- 1 year of experience in project finance at a bank, renewable
energy company, consulting firm, or renewables focused private
equity or private credit fund
- Formal credit training
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of tax equity and debt structures used in the
renewable space
- Strong attention to detail and very organized
- Strong time management skills
- Self-starter and naturally inquisitive
- Takes pride in work product

- Team-playerThe base pay for the Sr Analyst position is
generally between $95,000 and $110,000. The base pay for the
Associate position is generally between $110,000 and $135,000.
Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills,
experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors
permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also
include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards
as outlined in the offer of employment.First Citizens benefits
