Architect - Public Realm/Transportation, we'll count on you to:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and perform research, visioning,
conceptualization, layout and detailing on architectural and urban
design projects.
- Independently coordinate work of a multidisciplinary team
through multiple phases of project development.
- Establish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate
in reviews with various public agencies for code compliance and
statutory reviews.
- Coordinate workload of various team members through multiple
project phases to prepare and complete project documents including
conceptual sketches, diagrams, renderings, technical drawings and
construction-ready packages.
- Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with other
design and engineering disciplines.
- Perform QA/QC, technical and design reviews.
- Write and edit technical specifications.
- Achieve consensus with project stakeholders and incorporate
agreed-upon changes into project documents.
- Perform design services during construction as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture.
- A minimum of 7 years experience.
- Registered Architect in the State of California.
- Experience and thought generation in civic architecture, public
spaces, urban design, aviation, rail and multi-modal transportation
facilities.
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3-D Studio
Max (not required).
- Rhino and Grasshopper experience.Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related
field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience.
- Registered Architect.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management
skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with
related tools and processes.
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
