Position Information Venable LLP's Technology & Innovation Group, Venable Blue Team, seeks a Senior Analyst, Operational Excellence who resides in California, Colorado, or Illinois. This is a non-attorney position. The Senior Analyst, Operational Excellence will be responsible for regulatory and compliance by partnering with key stakeholders around design, implementation, monitoring, and maintaining compliance and governance within the organization. This role will develop frameworks and execution of solutions that ensure global compliance at scale and supporting global compliance coverage. The compliance solutions created will address the entire life cycle, taking into account the effects of new regulations on business operations, as well as the assessment of quality and the provision of evidence to regulatory authorities. The work of the Senior Analyst, Operational Excellence will be fast-paced, dynamic, and impactful. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitate the implementation of top-tier first and second line of defense compliance management by ensuring precise organization and effective task management systems are upheld.
  • Oversee several projects concurrently, ensuring meticulous attention to detail while adhering to stringent and often shifting deadlines, along with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage ongoing updates effectively.
  • Implement actions based on essential metrics and performance indicators that support the collaborative execution of program deliverables across various functions.
  • Effectively oversee cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes by enhancing the management of scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Implement communication strategies to efficiently and proactively inform stakeholders about the status, challenges, and risks associated with the program.
  • Drive reporting, cultivate trusting relationships, and engage stakeholders across the business.
  • Design, develop, and deploy data to various regulators and authorities.
    Qualifications:
    • B.A. or B.S. degree required; Master's degree (or equivalent) preferred.
    • Minimum 3-6 years of experience within strategy & operations, risk management, compliance, project management, analytics, or related fields.
    • Demonstrated expertise in risk management, systems thinking, a keen attention to detail, self-driven, and ability to foster a collaborative and optimistic demeanor.
    • Consistent track record to use collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data.
    • Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace required.
    • Strong attention to detail, highly determined, and results-oriented.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills for both VP-level stakeholders as well as mid-level stakeholders.
    • Executive presence and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across numerous stakeholders.
    • Critical thinking and ability to perform well under pressure and ambiguous situations.

This is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
